About us
The dream of the Founder, Shaikh Abdulrahman Abdulqader Fakieh, was to set up a poultry farm on a commercial level. At that time, there were no poultry farms in the Kingdom. He asked himself, ‘Why don’t these farms have a home here? Why isn’t the import barrier broken by a local manufacturer coming from our homeland?’
The venture began with a handmade wooden incubator with a capacity of only 80 eggs, where the eggs were flipped manually. After this, a hatchery with a capacity of 500 eggs was imported.
With the passage of time, the efforts of the founder multiplied, and his dream turned into reality with the announcement of the opening of the first poultry farm built in the most ideal circumstances, in Makkah Al-Mukarramah located in the Aziziyah neighbourhood, with an area of only 1,000 square meters.
Although the farm was small in size with just one house, our founder’s determination to succeed was unparalleled. He went on to establish small branches where chickens were slaughtered, cleaned, packed and delivered fresh without being stored in the refrigerator.
This is how our founder’s aspirations were realised into a successful and growing venture. In 1380 AH, the first integrated poultry farm of 10 house for broiler chickens was established in Taif city. Fakieh Farms continues to expand and reach newer heights.
